It was a dark and stormy afternoon, but I wanted to spend some time photographing our beautiful city so let's take a walk around the Chinese Museum, the Conservatory Gardens and Rosalind Park.
It's that time of year again where Christmas is upon us. I love handmade in all it's beautifully imperfect glory. Recently I've been on the radio talking about buying Handmade in Bendigo, which was exciting (but eek!). I visited the Trove Makers Market, Christmas edition, for LUPO Magazine and here are some of the gorgeous things I saw.
It's been a while between posts. Slack I know. Working in my day job, being a mum and trying to keep the house kind of respectable has soaked up well, pretty much all my time. Things got tough once Miss 2 started walking earlier this year. As a new Mum you don't realise how busy it gets once the wee ones are mobile. So 9 months after she starts walking I finally found a minute to post a new blog.
Sometimes it's just a bit much to carry around the big digital SLR. Family events and travel are two occasions where I'm not up for carrying around the bulky, heavy camera but I still want great images. Enter the Olympus OMD EM10. This is a groovy little camera with a vintage look, that the hipster in me loves. Check out some of the shots from a walk around town.
Shot in aperture priority and some in auto for testing.
- It's big on features and light on weight. Read more about the features.
I love a good makers market. I love wandering through all the handmade items, knowing that they've all been lovingly handcrafted fills me with joy. It's time for the July Trove Market this coming Saturday so I thought I better get this blog up before then. In June I spent an hour and a half wandering through about half the stalls taking some photos of the gorgeous products. Heres a peak at some of the pictures I took.
Last week I spent some time with a gorgeous little guy. With his mum Maree, we played with some cute toy animals, crawled around the floor and hung upside down. Here are a few of the shots we got from the day.
Hi and welcome! I'm in the process of creating my website. I'm hoping that it will be a space full of beautiful images and thoughts. I'll keep my work updated in my photography galleries, client blogs and some tips on taking photos are in the works (so check back soon!). Where do I hangout? Good question! You can find me on facebook, instagram, pinterest or my blog.
If you'd like to book me for a shoot you can reach me on 0459 032 139 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
